(LOS ANGELES, U.S.A）
The Riviera Country Club is set in the Pacific Palisades, an exclusive residential area surrounded by Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and Hollywood, and just a short 20 minutes drive from Los Angeles International Airport.
Renowned as a prestigious club since its establishment in 1926, a host of celebrities have graced its member’s list throughout the years. The course has hosted major tournaments, including the US Open, the PGA Championship and the US Senior Open, while every February it plays host to the Northern Trust Open on the PGA Tour. In addition to the course itself, the facility boasts a restaurant, ball room, lodgings and sports gym, ensuring that members can enjoy the full benefits of the Riviera lifestyle as the club continues to evolve under its core values of “Healthy Life, Respect Life, Enjoy Life.”
Featuring 24 courts, the Riviera Tennis Club was established in 1963 and is one of the largest in southern California. Located close to Hollywood, the club counts a host of stars among its members. As well as hosting the Women’s All-American Intercollegiate Championships, the club is also known as a popular pre-tournament practice venue for some of the world’s top tennis professionals. Each season it holds junior development camps that focus on both physical dynamics and sports psychology, drawing plaudits from one Los Angeles magazine, which described it as “the club contributing the most to junior development.” Recently the United States Professional Tennis Association awarded the manager with the Best Professional award. Everyday, players from all generations can be seen working up a sweat as they practice hard under the warm California sun.
